| Purpose
of the International Human Rights Section List Serve/Newsletter |
| |
In
October 2000, the AALS held a workshop on teaching Human Rights. The
session was deemed by all participants to be a success at bringing
together persons interested in discussing matters related to teaching
human rights: curriculum, coverage, and methodology, from both a
pedagogical and administrative perspective. The AALS International
Human Rights Section grew out of this discussion.
The Section and the Section list serve are intended to provide a
platform for the thoughtful exchange of ideas and news about human
rights teaching by AALS law school affiliated individuals. We very
much look forward to having this link with our colleagues in human
rights teaching and hope that you will find it a useful forum for
collegial inquiry and support. We do ask that our colleagues recognize
that the overuse of email postings can interfere with this purpose.
The Section leadership will monitor for spamming and if necessary
speak with extreme offenders/remove them from the list. |
